Best Casinos of Canada: the Casino de Montreal
This physical casino is an architectural symbol of Montreal. It is comfortably nestled in the former Quebec and French pavilions that were built for Expo 67. The trusted casino is unique not only for its exterior - lots of windows, low ceilings and other architectural features - but also for the amount of entertainment that it offers.
The Casino de Montreal offers a large selection of games with 3,200 slot machines and 120 tables. You can also visit one of the restaurants, have a glass of wine with friends, dance, listen to live music, DJs, and a variety of entertainers. This world of excitement has been delighting customers since 1993.
The Montreal Casino's History
The establishment opened in the autumn of 1993 in an Expo 67 pavilion. Initially, it housed 1,200 machines and 65 tables. The establishment was a success from the first days it opened, with an average of 12,000 visitors a day. The Casino de Montreal in Canada was expanded in both 1994 and 1996. It then underwent a four-year renovation and, in 2013, introduced new entertainment and gaming areas to its patrons.

Interesting Facts
It is better to know these facts about the offline casino beforehand:
- To enter a large casino, bring your passport (or ID), as only those aged 18 and over are allowed in. Without a passport or any other proof of age, you are unlikely to be allowed to enter, especially if you look younger than your age.
- Remember: Drinking alcohol and smoking is not permitted in the gaming area.
- The pavilions in which the best casino is located were not chosen randomly. Its isolation allows the authorities to monitor the venue easily and detect infringers.
- In 1994, a scandal erupted at the Casino of Montreal when a player won $600,000 in keno. Three times he managed to guess 19 out of 20 numbers. The venue's administrators thought he was a fraudster and accused him of using computer technology.
- Umbrellas, helmets, backpacks and other personal belongings are not allowed in the casino.
- The venue is made accessible to people with disabilities. You can rent a wheelchair and a hearing aid. The rooms can accommodate up to 8 people in wheelchairs.
- At the cashier and terminal, you can exchange money, cash out receipts and privilege points, and collect your winnings. The official casino accepts both bank cards and cash.
Responsible Game Rules
Gambling is all about fun, but only when the player feels the line between healthy excitement and that which is out of the norm. The Montreal Casino adheres to the rules of responsible gambling.
The gambling site team has developed a special tool called "Game Management", which allows various limits to be set to help monitor and control risky behaviour. If the limits set in the online casino are reached, the player's access to the entertainment will be temporarily blocked.
The web platform applies the following measures:
- Take a test to determine if you have or don't have a gambling addiction and the extent of it.
- Limit the time spent on the site. The limit is set by the player for a day, a week or a month.
- You can also determine the maximum amount of money you can lose per day, week or month.
- A limit can also be set on the amount of the deposit by specifying the maximum deposit amount. This is done during registration.
- A timeout, the essence of which is the temporary blocking of the account. A timeout can be set for just one time or for a specific period of time.
- Self-exclusion is the way to go if you no longer feel the joy of the game and are losing control of your behaviour when you lose a lot of money. By signing up for the self-exclusion programme, you automatically agree to have your account blocked by the site administration for a certain period of time.
- If you can't deal with the problem yourself, the customer service team will provide contacts of organizations that specialize in helping people with gambling problems.
These measures are intended to combat online gambling addiction, but offline venues also have strict rules against players prone to developing addictions.
